Pod0 is an iOS podcast player built around an embedded AI agent with perfect knowledge of every show you're subscribed to — including episodes you haven't listened to yet.
I don't actually finish most episodes; I skim, skip, and half-listen while doing something else, then can never find the bit I half-remember. So instead of a player you scrub through, Pod0 is one you talk to: “play the part of this episode where they talk about keto,” “what was that podcast about stamps I heard last week?”, or “give me a TLDR of everything this week” — and it generates an audio briefing you can interrupt mid-sentence to go deeper.
what it does
- Timestamped transcripts with speaker diarization, per show and cross-episode
- RAG over your whole library, not just the episode you're currently on
- Voice mode: barge-in friendly — talk over the agent and it stops, listens, answers
- TLDR briefings: a synthesized, interruptible catch-up episode of your week
- RSS/OPML import, full playback engine, CarPlay and lock-screen controls
Bootstrapped from ios-app-template; the working title “Podcastr” still lives on in code identifiers (Xcode targets, paths, entitlements), but the app you'd actually use is Pod0. Now being rebuilt onto NMP's shared Rust core alongside Highlighter and Olas.
